BitchBoards make snowboards for women (or, in their words, 'boards for bitches').  Alex who started the company was told to stop bitchin' about the lack of good boards for women, so she did more than that and started her own award winning company.

Cross Country Skiing

Chandra Crawford is a Canadian Olympic Cross Country Skier, winner of a gold medal in Torino, Italy in the 2006 Winter Olympic Games.  Read about her in the GO! Girls Outdoors profile.

Fast and Female is an organisation set up by Chandra Crawford and some of her colleagues, and is dedicated to helping girls' participation in sport.  Read the profile and visit the website.

Despite what some people say, sometime's it's ok if you forget to wax.

Polar Expeditions

Commonwealth Women's Antarctic Expedition - these 8 women from Commonwealth countries are skiing to the South Pole to mark the 60th anniversary of the Commonwealth.

In March 2009 two hardy adventurers attempted the first expedition ever to Snowshoe for Vegemite.  The world exclusive report went to GO! Girls Outdoors.
