Extended walks are great for the mind and spirit and lots of women love to take part in them.
A good friend of mine once told me that multi-day bushwalking is the one outdoor activity where she can outdo the guys because she has amazing stamina and can go all day long. Of course, she is amazing anyway (she often makes incredible sushi for a backcountry camping meal) - but the fact remains that lots of women love to walk.
