The Mission of GO! Girls Outdoors
“GO! Girls Outdoors” is a website for anyone interested in the issues facing women involved in Outdoor Education and Recreation. It has been set up to provide an information hub and a mode of communication between women participating, or wanting to participate, in outdoor education and recreation.
“GO! Girls Outdoors” is a place to seek information, advice and support. It is a place to chat with like-minded colleagues, swap adventure stories and find an adventure buddy. It is a support network and information hub for ANYONE (includng men) interested in the issues that can affect women in outdoor education and recreation.
The website is maintained by Marjorie Morgan, a teacher, outdoor educator and outdoor enthusiast. It was set up using funds from a scholarship provided by Recreation Training Queensland, the Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation and the Department of Local Government, Planning, Sport and Recreation,
